In May 2026, TGJones (formerly WHSmith) will be closing 150 high street shops. It’s sad yet predictable news for the struggling high street chain.
Since the rebrand in 2025, WHSmith’s new name has not gone down well with the general public. The shops still feel dated and there’s so much product confusion it's difficult to know where to start.
Along with Royal Mail’s name change to Consignia, Weightwatchers becoming WW, and Warner Brothers not knowing what to call their HBO streaming service, this is a prime example of how to rebrand. Especially when you have the history dating back to the late 1700s.

In episode #37, we continue Building the Railway and make even more progress on the railway project. The track is getting longer, the route is starting to come together, and the build is slowly becoming a proper transport system across the world.
In this episode, I keep placing rails, improving the structure, working on the supports, and pushing the railway closer to completion. There is still plenty left to build, but the project is finally starting to look impressive.

🍳 Episode 1 Highlights & Recap
The Twist Revealed: The young contestants initially arrived at Caesars Palace thinking they were just visiting, only to be surprised by Gordon Ramsay (and a parade of showgirls and musicians) who revealed they were actually the new cast.
The Signature Dish Challenge: As is tradition on the show, the premiere episode focused entirely on the signature dish challenge to test the chefs' baseline skills. Chefs were split into the standard Red Team (Women) and Blue Team (Men).
The Scoring: Chef Ramsay rated each signature dish on a scale from 1 to 5.
The Winners: The Red Team won the challenge with a total score of 29–23, earning a VIP reward dinner with Chef Ramsay at Caesars Palace. The Blue Team was forced to stay behind to clean up the kitchen and prep for the upcoming days.
No Eliminations: Because it was the opening challenge of the season, no one was sent home in Episode 1, giving all 18 contestants a chance to survive into the first formal dinner service in Episode 2.
